OPEN BOOK Learning

Reading and Writing for At-Risk and ELL students.

OpenBook English uses proven, researched-based methodology and curriculum to teach English the way a person would naturally acquire a new language. Starting with basic phonics instruction, learners progress through vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and writing lessons, each one building on skills acquired in previous lessons.

The latest version of literacy software from OpenBook features new content for older students and an exciting chapter on Citizenship.

Native Language Support/Instruction: Spanish, Bosnian-Croatian, Mandarin Chinese, Haitian-Creole

Beginner Curriculum: Beginner lessons to build a solid foundation for new English learners.

Intermediate Curriculum: Students gain confidence and practice in vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and writing skills.

Advanced Curriculum: Focuses on high level English fluency, reduce accent, advance grammar skills, English idioms and daily conversation models.

Placement and Integrated Assessments: Program will gauge student's learning style and skill levels.

Management System: Teachers will be able to monitor students and program provides detailed reports.
